Dance of Fate (Sayaw ng Tadhana)

“Knowing that every turn of events brings me closer to my true self, I move to the beat of life.” Rushing the rice is not going to help it grow more quickly. Rain does not pour because you ask it to. Understanding that certain circumstances are beyond human control, the community instead offers, chants, and dances in humility and optimism. Therefore, this is about living in accordance with forces greater than yourself rather than just “luck.” 

Life is not linear; rather, it follows spirals, patterns, and cycles. In Sayaw ng Tadhana, the ageless pattern of rising and falling, sowing and reaping, gain and loss comes up. It serves as a reminder that change is not only inevitable but also precious. A sacred awareness that we are constantly moving, together with the earth, our ancestors, the spirits, and time itself.
